Contact

Write to the trustees.

Our board is entirely volunteer–led. Email is the most reliable way to reach us; a trustee normally replies within one working week, and often sooner where the matter is urgent.

Your first message is read in confidence by the trustees. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing in a first email — we can follow up for further detail as needed.

If you are enquiring about a home

Helpful things to mention in a first message.

  • Your name, and whether you are writing for yourself or on behalf of someone else.
  • Your current housing situation in brief — where you live now, and what is prompting the enquiry.
  • Your connection to Birmingham.
  • Any timescales you are working to.
  • A phone number if you would prefer us to reply by telephone.

If you are referring someone to us — as a clergy member, GP, social worker or family friend — please do so with their knowledge and consent wherever possible.

Other enquiries

Governance, press and researchers.

We’re happy to hear from local historians, researchers into the almshouse movement, and journalists on reasonable matters. As a small volunteer board we will reply as soon as we practically can.

For the most current governance and financial information on the charity, please also consult our public record with the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
